Nate graduated in 2011 and earned four varsity letters in basketball and was a three year starter. During his career at Teays Valley, Nate earned 2nd team Mid State League honors in 2009, 1st team Mid State League honors in 2010 and 2011 and was named Mid State League Player of the Year in 2011. Nate played in the 2011 District 10 All - Star game and was named to the 2011 Ohio High School Basketball Coach Association All - Academic team. He was a member of the 2010 team that won the sectional tournament and helped lead the 2011 boys basketball team to the Mid - State League championship. The team’s record was 57 and 30 during his four years. Nate currently has the school record for rebounds in a career with 712 and is second in scoring with 1251 points. His career free free throw percentage was 73.2% and career field goal percentage was 50.1% Nate was the 2011 Bob Bowsher Award winner for County Player of the Year.

After high school, Nate attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and earned his Bachelor and Masters degrees. He is currently teaching and coaching at the high school level.
