Chuck is a graduate of the Class of 1975. While in high school, he earned ten varsity letters: four in football, two in basketball and four in baseball. In football he earned All-League honors his junior and senior years. At graduation he held the school record for total offense and most touchdown passes in one game.

In basketball, Chuck played on teams that won back to back Metro League Championships and the 1974 team finished as District Runner-up.

Chuck earned All-League honors in baseball his junior and senior seasons. The 1973 team finished as District Runner-up.
